What should you compare before booking Aer Lingus?
Compare the total price for your exact dates, including baggage, seat selection and changes. Check the operating airline and any connection, because services and fare rules can differ between segments. For US travel, confirm whether your flight is eligible for preclearance at Dublin and allow enough time at the airport.
Aer Lingus baggage: what is included?
Cabin and checked baggage depend on your route, fare and any connecting airline. A lower priced fare may include less baggage or charge for a checked bag. Compare the allowance shown during booking and check the size, weight and fee rules for every segment before paying.
If you need a suitcase, add its cost to the total fare before comparing Aer Lingus with British Airways or another airline.
Aer Lingus fare types and cabins
Fare names, cabin options and included services vary between European and transatlantic flights. Check the exact flight for seat selection, meals, baggage, lounge access and changes. A fare option such as AerSpace is different from the long-haul Business cabin, so compare the benefits shown for your booking rather than relying on a generic class label.
Which aircraft will operate your Aer Lingus flight?
Aer Lingus uses Airbus aircraft on short and long routes, but the exact type and cabin can change. Check the operating flight and seat map for your date before relying on a particular seat or onboard service. You can compare another carrier in our airline guides.

Aer Lingus flies within Ireland and Europe and offers transatlantic routes. Some journeys connect through Dublin; others are direct or use a different airport.
