What to check before booking
China Eastern can be useful for a route via Shanghai, especially when comparing one-stop journeys between Asia and other regions.
Route and connection
Compare the total transfer time and check whether the itinerary uses the same Shanghai airport throughout.
What the fare includes
Compare the same cabin and fare conditions on each itinerary. Check seat selection, changes, refunds and the total price after any extras you need.
Baggage rules
Carry-on and checked-bag allowances depend on route and cabin; use the ticket details as the starting point. Check the allowance on your booking and China Eastern Airlines’s official website before paying and again before departure.
Three checks that save time
- Confirm the departure and arrival airports, local times and total journey length.
- Identify the operating airline on every segment and allow a practical connection margin.
- Add bags and seats to both fares, then compare the final price and change conditions.
